Shannon Lay - Living Water

Image
The album 'Living Water' by Shannon Lay, totally caught me off guard. I have seen the band 'Feels' live at Seattle a while ago. I am still amazed by the energy the band delivered at the show with the way they performed. Then, like every loyal fan, I went back home and searched for more live videos by 'Feels' on youtube.  At the related videos, I came across 'Living Water', by the band 'Feels' guitarist and back vocals. Back then, I was not in the mood for that type of an album at that specific moment, as I was looking for some live videos by the punk band, but yes, thank god I did give this real album a try. 'Living water' starts with a quiet violin, and then, moments after, that gentle voice with the guitar peaceful strums joins in and amazingly vibrated my body while simultaneously relaxed every muscle resulting to a new level of peace of mind. The singer gentle voice is brilliantly and sophisticatedly rises ups and downs thr...

Stills & Collins - Everybody Knows

Image
I have been waiting for this album to publish on Spotify for a while. I could only find this album on Youtube for a while, so I had to taste it before I could really get my hands on the album on a good quality or purchase its vinyl. This album is one of the bests duo projects of the new folk. I won't be the first to glorify Stills & Collins, therefore I won't elaborate much on details here. They have managed to touch at every aspect on this record. The melody is brilliant, the duo voices are communication in the most complex and pleasent singing I have heard in the recent folk albums. This album is an audiophile treat. It's recorded so well, which causes a very pleasant listening experience for the HI-FI fans.                                                                     Spot...

Clowns - Lucid Again

Image
Clowns from Australia were the best band I've heard in 2017. No Doubt. It feels like Clowns have changed the rules of Punk/Hardcore music. Every single song on this album is brilliant. Each song is so dirty, heavy, emotional, fast but still brilliantly melodic. The album starts in a slow pace, with a soft guitar and vocals which creates a huge anticipation for what's next to come...then it goes to track number two and it hits you right in the face! From that point, the album continues like a snowball effect, it gets faster and louder at every second. You can not stop 'Clowns'. Honestly, this is the best Hardcore/Punk album I've heard in a very long time. Lucid Again simply cannot get old and it will break your jaw time after time.                                                                     ...

Press Club - Late Teens

Image
Press Club band is just the band I felt like I was looking for lately. This Australian garage-punk/grunge/punk rock band is amazing. There is no doubt who is controlling the band's music vibe, of course, it is the band's female vocals that are screaming out in a warm, sensitive and very melodic and special way of singing. I absolutely love it. The band members of Press Club are taking the scenes to the exact right spot where it should be in 2018. Melodic, fast, aggressive, catchy and punchy Grunge/ Punk/garage-punk music with emotional lyrics from a great female vocal that grabs your heart from the inside. Honestly, I can not stop listening to 'late Teens' over and over again. Do not miss on this album, it is a  must-have .                                                                      ...

Sugar Candy Mountain - 666

Image
At first glance, the album title '666' seems dark as. On a second look, the album artwork cover gives you a leisurely feeling mixed with some mystery. That is exactly why I gave it a shot. Psychedelic pop/rock songs with a relaxing singing of a female and a male voice are just the right way to do it. Their album is a gentle mix of quite whispering vocals with sophisticated drums, guitars and electronic instruments. Sugar Candy Mountain made me feel like these duos are doing it just right. The Coathangers - Nosebleed Weekend

Image
I've seen The Coathangers a month ago at a two days show by Burger Records in Seattle. I had absolutely no idea what to expect. Honestly, I was dumbfounded. The Coathangers performed an intense show while at the back of the stage there was a structured light projector of psychedelics like kaleidoscope shapes and colors that beautifully mixed so well with the music. I've been listening to 'N osebleed Weekend' album probably every day since that day. The Coathangers have changed my definition to punk-rock music. They are doing it in a unique way, where they have got out of every 'square' we were stuck in before as punk-rock. Instantly, I fell in love with the two different voices by the drummer and the guitarist who sings so genuinely from their hearts and also so melodically which blends together so well. 'N osebleed Weekend' songs are super catchy, different, gentle, aggressive, real and unique.  Spotify Album Link
